About Vibha
Vibha Academic Bowl Outreach is a dual purpose organization whose mission is to engage every child into an interest in learning. The organization is a branch of the national organization Vibha, which is an international nonprofit that works to empower every individual that wishes to make a difference in the life of every child in the areas of opportunity, health, and education through fundraising grassroot education projects..
Our Goals

Vibha Academic Bowl Outreach's primary goal is to encourage interest in education among children in the Athens area through academic bowl programs and game-based learning. We work with various schools and after-school programs to either start academic bowl programs, assist with programs already in place, or develop learning games with the hopes of making learning fun for students. In just the past year, we have expanded to Oglethorpe County Middle School, Coyle Middle School, Haymon Morris Middle School, Clarke Middle, and Boys and Girls Club of Athens. We have teams designated to write questions and create curricula for subjects including Math, Science, History, Geography, Literature, Fine Arts, and Miscellaneous. We also have a head coach designated at each school/program that develop a lesson plan and activities once a week in order to create a fun learning environment for the middle school students. Our membership has grown from 10 members to over 40 as we have expanded to these schools, and we continue to look to expand.
